Just south of Oregon’s famous Cascade Head preserve, a vast beach ends in a dramatic castle-like headland flanked by sandy cliffs. The movement of wind and waves are reflected in shallow pools, themselves containing the undulating signature of water currents written in sand.

“Road’s End” was created using a digital media technique developed by the artist called “dynamic patternism.” The name implies the result and the method, a time-intensive blending of colors into a thousand beautiful shapes that form the final composition.
