Early evening highlights the colorful volcanic cliffs of Broken Top as seen from Park Meadow, high in the Cascades of Central Oregon. This is one of my favorite backcountry retreats. The trail to get there is long, dusty and mostly burned by a major fire a few years ago, but it’s a small price for entry.
